It wouldn’t be a Raceway Park Fall Nationals Event if it didn’t have crazy weather, fast cars, tons of break downs, hot cars and scantily clad women on stage dancing around. It was great to see Gary Gardella back on the drag strip racing again but personally, I was quite upset that Chris Rado wasn’t able to make it out to the event to have their grudge match. It’s never a dull moment at Raceway Park events and what a way to close out the season. I can’t wait until next years Spring Nationals to see how this scene continually progresses. Enjoy the photos!

Sunday at Raceway Park’s Fall Nationals, Shift Gear hosted the 1st Annual Old School Import Showdown. It was exciting to see some of these classic cars come out for the event. Mild to wildly modified, they were all done so cleanly and most of these cars you just never see on the road. I hope to see more of them in the future.

With 70 degree weather the week prior to Import Survival Series 1, there were high hopes of nice weather for the first car show of the season at Englishtowns, Raceway Park. Sadly enough, it was a brisk 30 degrees when I arrived at the track. However, the racers still came out to make those passes down the 1320 to work out the winter bugs and the show goers got to see some of their competition for the season. MC Slick and DJ L Nino held it down on stage keeping the beats bumping for the crowd.

Shreeve is a awesome dude. If you like this video, you should pick up his DVD that he recently put out.
It’s not odd on the west coast to have shows and meets like JTuned, Niesi , Eibach and Chinatown showoff, just to name a few, which display some of the hottest and cleanest rides in the scene. Out here in the northeast, you’re more likely to see only a hand full of the same quality cars at the average car show and meet here. Canibeat decided to mix it up a bit with their First Class Fitment show.
The venue they chose was at a little bit of a different location that we normally go to. A airport hanger in Princeton, NJ hosted the 75 hand picked cars for the show where judging was based on wheel fitment and stance of the car. Crazy offset wheels, stretch tires and rolled fenders were a common theme and the sound of pressurized air being released was not far behind with cars rolling on air bags to get that extra low stance.
Pictures speak louder then words so click on the pictures above to jump to the gallery.
MadMike Whiddett’s RedBull RX8 drift car has an insane offset. I just felt the need to share this. Make sure to check it out at the next Formula D event.
It was a sunny and brisk April spring day. Drifters from far and near came to invade Englishtown’s Raceway Park to rip up their road course. The sound of screeching tires and plooms of smoke filled the air throughout the entire day. For Club Loose’s first event of the year, it was a nice turnout even after hearing how a lot of enthusiast cars weren’t ready to participate yet. Next event is coming up soon and its only going to be bigger. Check out www.Clubloose.com too keep up to date with future events.
