So Fresh, So Clean!

Compared to all the other Nissan features on the SpeedLounge, first thing you would probably imagine is a 240sx, Skyline or 350z. Not this time around! We are featuring a true sub compact import car which belongs to Junior Mahabir from Queens, NY. If you don’t already know I am a fan of clean styled cars and this car is on the top of my list. He knows how to pay attention to detail and this car isn’t done up half-assed. Junior’s B13 Sentra is the first to offer the SR20DE engine in the SE-R edition and he only made further modifications to make this tame animal a beast.

Honda Day Recap

Over on the north east this event marked as the last drag racing event for the 2008 season. Javier Ortega put on a good show and it only took three times to actually finish the event with the first two events raining out. Now even though it was blistering cold true Honda fans made their way to Atco Raceway, NJ to participate in the festivities. Either you stood on the stands to watch some drag racing or walked through the car show the main event was the Project Honda raffle. People bought multiple entrance tickets (One guy bought 20) but finally it only took the winner one ticket to win. Stay Tuned for the photos! Results after the jump! Rhys takes the win!

If you went to the Red Bull Championship you probably thought what I thought… “Duh, of course a Red Bull sponsored racer will win the event.” That’s what exactly happened, experienced drifters from across the world gathered at the Long Beach Pier to battle it out and claim that title as “World Champion”. The racers tried their best but it was Rhys Millen who shined through the whole event. Compared to all of the drifting events that I have been to this crowd tops them all. The crowd had such appeal and enthusiasm for the racers and despite the ashes falling from the sky the crowd still endured the action-packed event. Stay tuned for the photos!

Live at Red Bull Drifting!

Well we made it to sunny LA! Only one problem, it isn’t sunny. There was a forrest fire in LA county and ash was falling from the sky. Take a look at the dark sky. This didn’t stop the drifting action. Stay tuned for the photos.

SEMA Day 1

Well we made it through Day 1 at SEMA. After a 6 A.M. direct flight from Newark to Las Vegas we headed directly to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Now, the first day trek into the show is always the worst. Why? Because we could not just simply cut through the show. So, we were all forced to walk all the way around the outside of the Convention Center and the chaos was definitely out there! After all that was said and done we got our badges and did a quick run through the show. Check out the photos and commentary after the jump!

Getting ready for SEMA 2008

Well SEMA is only two days away and while we really don’t do anything special to prepare for SEMA, we do think about how the show will turn out. Especially during the troubled times we are in today, consumers tighten up on spending and Companies tighten up on overhead costs. I just checked out www.Speedhunters.com and saw a post from my man Antonio about www.Riceboytv.com coming to end due to insufficient project funding. This is sad news indeed, I hope we don’t hear anymore bad news during the week. Stay tuned for my daily blogs at the 2008 SEMA Show!
