If you happen to be in Japan and you love Honda, you better be at the I Heart Honda at the Suzuka Circuit on Feb. 20, 2010! The event has a multitude of races such as the Spirit Class which gives you 25 mins on the track. This is an event you will not want to miss.
It has officially been 30 years since Audi brought their all wheel drive system (Quattro).

Jalopnik has a great article up about the history of Quattro and how it was developed. Here are some snippets:
That last bit is where things get interesting — it led to one of the most ingenious packaging solutions of the late 20th century. The Quattro’s longitudinal center diff is built into the back of the gearbox, and the gearbox’s primary shaft is essentially an extension of the crankshaft. The primary shaft drives a hollow secondary shaft, which then drives the diff. But here’s the cool part: A third, solid shaft lives inside the hollow secondary, transmitting power to the front axles. This is the much-lauded “shaft within a shaft” that everyone talks about, and it allowed the Quattro to pack a steamer trunk’s worth of components into a space barely larger than an overnight bag. (Note: Anyone who makes an Xzibit “Yo dawg, I herd you like all-wheel drive so I put a shaft in your shaft so you can diff while you diff” joke at this point will be shot.)
This Friday’s flush vehicle is a Honda S2000. I really don’t know much about this car. I’ve seen it at a few events and meets but I’ve never actually seen the owner anywhere near the car. It’s clean, low and has a sick set of wheels with a rad offset.

As I was thinking about spring time, I wanted to bring up a SpeedLounge.com friend and member, IWANNAGOFAST aka Bobby. I met bobby last year at Honda Day in Atco, NJ. Bobby made the trek up from Delaware. He has one of the nicest modded Ruckus on the East Coast. Unfortunately last year Bobby was involved in an accident and had severe head trauma. The N.E.R.D. crew has been getting regular updates from his family and he seems to be doing better day by day. SpeedLounge.com send our thoughts and continued prayers for a speedy recovery!

Well its official and who didn’t see it coming with the ending of the last movie. Fast and Furious 5, currently being called Fast 5, will be in the making confirmed by both Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. But wait, the news doesn’t stop there as according to Vin Diesel’s Facebook page, it was presented as a “2 story saga.” So that means a Fast and Furious 6 will be in the making also but Universal hasn’t mentioned anything about FF6 yet. So we’ll just have to wait and see how that goes. Filming is set to take place this year and the movie will be released sometime in 2011. Where do you think this story will take place? Back to Tokyo maybe???

As I was scouring good ol’ Facebook, I stumble over a photo that Enkei Wheels posted up showing their Enkei NT03+M. Ask all the photographers and they’ll tell you, “Nope not going to shoot a black car!” Well, this picture defies the impossible!
