The Battle of the Imports heads to Atco Raceway located in Atco, NJ for Round-3 of the 2008 Championship season.
Located in southern NJ and just outside the Philadelphia metropolitan market, Round-3 will feature some of the quickest and fastest sport compacts in the country.
Leading the charge is current points leader Ed Bergenholtz in Pro-FWD driving the MAZDASPEED Mazda 6. Bergenholtz leads both Marty Ladwig and Gary Gardella by a marginal 76 points which, translates into performances based on one event only.
“Even though it’s already the end of May, we have only completed 2 out of 9-events out of the entire series,” commented Frank Choi, Battle of the Imports. “Marty came out to the season opener and was unable to make Round-2. As for Gary, he was unable to make the season opener but was present at Epping, NH.” Gary Gardella (Howell, NJ) is expected to make Round-3 at Atco Raceway and this event could affect the lead change again in Pro-FWD.
In Pro-Stock, Norris Prayoonto (Fairfax, VA) leads the points chase with Soctt Kelley (Anaheim, CA) following closely behind by a margin of 84-points. After two events, Prayoonto is 2-0 in just as many final round appearances. Round-3 at Atco should present some exciting action in the class as Scott Kelley looks to redeem his semi-final loss at the recent Epping, NH event.
The Battle of the Imports will feature a competitive carshow with over 100 awards available for imports, sport compacts, late models domestics, trucks and SUV’s. Also, the Finestmodels.com swimsuit competition anchors the interactive vendors and lifestlyles section.

From Walt Whitman Bridge take 295 north to Exit 36A, Rt. 73 to Berlin Circle. After the circle go to second traffic light which 534. Take 534 east 3 miles to track. Take NJ Turnpike to Exit 4 or Rt. 295 north to Exit 36A. Take Rt. 73 south 10 miles to Berlin Circle, After the circle go to second traffic light which is 534. Take 534 east 3 miles to track.

Take exit 88 off Garden State Parkway,take Rt 70 West for 33 miles to Rt 206 circle, proceed for 2.3 miles on Rt 206,make a right at the second light ( Medford Lakes Road), go 2 blocks and make a left on Oakshade Rd, stay on Oakshade (RT534 West, for 7.3 miles and it will bring you right to the track.
